Temporary Volunteer Opportunity – Acting Chairperson, Board of Management

Do you have experience in school leadership, education governance, or charity management?

Castlebar Educate Together National Schools is seeking an Acting Chairperson to support the Board of Management during a temporary period while the current Chair steps back from their duties. Your leadership during this interim phase will play a vital role in sustaining the progress and stability of our school community.

In this temporary role, you will:
• Provide strategic leadership and act as a key support to the school principal
• Guide the board in meeting its governance and compliance responsibilities
• Uphold and champion our school’s ethos—equality-based, learner-centred, co-educational, and democratically run—ensuring these values remain central to school life

This is a voluntary, time-limited position—but one with the potential to make a meaningful, lasting contribution.
