As Gender Rebels CLG grows, we are looking to welcome new perspectives, skills, and energy to our leadership team. Our Board Members are the backbone of Gender Rebels, playing an active role in every aspect of our work, from strategic planning to community engagement. Role Description: General Board Member (Director)
A General Board Member is a Director of the company who contributes to the overall governance, strategy, and operational success of Gender Rebels. You will work collaboratively with the rest of the board to ensure the organisation effectively fulfils its mission of empowering and supporting our community. Your role will be flexible, allowing you to contribute your unique skills and passion where they are needed most .
Time Commitment: Approximately 6-8 hours per month (voluntary).
Key Responsibilities:

Attend and actively participate in all board meetings, contributing ideas and assisting with decision-making and strategic planning.

Support the planning and execution of our events, advocacy campaigns, and fundraising initiatives.

Act as a positive ambassador for Gender Rebels, engaging with community members to provide support and foster connections in a welcoming and inclusive manner.

Contribute their skills and knowledge to specific projects or take on tasks as needed, collaborating with other committee members to achieve our collective goals.

Help ensure that all our activities uphold the organisation’s mission and values.

While prior board experience is not essential, we welcome applications from individuals with skills in areas such as community development, event management, fundraising, public engagement, or social media.
