Voluntary Board Members – Gateway to Education Limerick

Gateway to Education Limerick is seeking to strengthen and broaden the skills and experience of our voluntary Board.

We welcome expressions of interest from individuals who can bring experience in one or more of the following areas:

Charity & Community

Experience in the charity, community, social enterprise, education, disability or inclusion sectors.

Sustainability & Circular Economy

Experience in sustainability, circular economy, textile reuse, recycling, waste reduction or environmental initiatives.

Governance & Organisational Development

Experience in charity governance, compliance, policy development, HR, Board development or organisational management.

Funding & Project Development

Experience in grant funding, national or EU funding programmes, project development, project management or evaluation.

Administration & Strategy

Experience in administration, operations, finance, strategic planning, business management or organisational development.

The Role

Board members will contribute their knowledge and experience to support the governance, strategic direction and continued development of Gateway to Education Limerick.

We are looking for individuals who are willing to:

• Attend and actively participate in Board meetings.
• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
• Support good governance and oversight.
• Share relevant professional knowledge and experience.
• Act in the best interests of the organisation and the communities we support.
• Work collaboratively with fellow Board members and management.

Applicants are not expected to have experience across all five areas. We particularly welcome people who can strengthen the Board by bringing specialist knowledge in one or more of these areas.
