The Loreto Centre, Crumlin, established in 1998 by the Loreto Order, provides adult education and adult mental health services and supports to all comers and especially those in our immediate catchment area in Dublin 12. The legal structure of the organisation is that of an unincorporated association.
We have formed a limited company, Loreto Centre, Crumlin CLG and we are in the process of registering that CLG with the Charities Regulatory Authority.
Once that is completed, we will transfer all the roles and functions from the current association to the CLG.
Notwithstanding this significant structural reform, we continue to deliver upwards of 3,000 counselling sessions in 2026 together with ongoing adult education across a range of classes - yoga, tai chi, art, gardening - and a diploma in Women, Gender and Social Studies in association with UCD.
Our plan is to grow and expand our services to meet an ever growing demand for mental health and adult education services. In the coming years our target is to deliver 5,000 counselling sessions in 2029.
Our Board consists of up to nine persons representative of our stakeholders and each person brings significant experience in HR, finance, governance, legal, fund raising and organisational structures to the table.
We will have two vacancies arising in the coming months specifically in the areas of finance and governance and we are seeking suitable persons with a little time on their hands to give voluntarily to this very worth charitable function. Meetings are held approximately every six weeks in the Loreto Centre in Crumlin.
