Legal Experience

Saoirse Ethnic Hands is a migrant-led social enterprise based in Cork. We support migrant women through training, employment pathways, and community connection. Our work ranges from textile production and handmade gifts to catering, community workshops, and wellbeing programmes. All income is reinvested directly into empowering migrant women and supporting families living in Direct Provision.

We are now seeking a board member with legal expertise to support our growing organisation.

Role

 We are looking for someone with experience in company, charity, or employment law to help guide Saoirse Ethnic Hands as we grow. The ideal candidate will support us with:

 • Governance and compliance

 • Reviewing legal documents and contracts

 • Advising on policies and organisational processes

 • Strengthening good practice within a small, values-driven team

Who We’re Looking For

 • Qualified legal professional 

 • Experience with the non-profit, charity, or social enterprise sector is an advantage

 • Someone who values social justice, inclusion, and community empowerment

 • Willing to attend quarterly board meetings and occasional additional meetings
