THE HomeShare is an award winning nonprofit organisation. We are building a dynamic and committed Board to help guide and grow our mission: supporting older adults in maintaining independence and housing stability through safe, mutually beneficial homesharing arrangements with vetted accommodation seekers.
We’re seeking individuals who are passionate about community, housing solutions, and innovative approaches to ageing in place.
Available Board Positions
We are currently seeking trustees with experience in the following areas:
- Fundraising & Development
- Marketing & Communications
- Finance & Accounting
- Legal (particularly nonprofit or housing law)
- Older Person Services or Social Work
- Affordable Housing or Urban Planning
- Nonprofit Governance & Strategic Planning
Prior board experience is welcome but not required. We value diverse voices and lived experiences that reflect the communities we serve.

Expectations
- Attend regular board meetings (typically quarterly)
- Participate in at least one committee
- Serve as an ambassador for THE HomeShare in the community
- Contribute to fundraising efforts (give/get expectations can be discussed)
