IEQAS Director

The Irish External Quality Assessment Scheme, CLG, is the national, not-for-profit, independent External Quality Assessment (EQA) provider, with over 40 years of experience. IEQAS is overseen by the Directors and Steering Committee, supported by the Irish professional bodies in laboratory medicine.

IEQAS aims to objectively assess analytical performance in laboratory medicine and primary care in Ireland.

IEQAS is seeking expressions of interest from individuals with an understanding of IT strategy, digital tools, and data security to join our Board of Directors.

Purpose of the Role: IEQAS Directors oversee the financial and strategic direction along with the development of the company.

Time Commitment: The Board of Directors meets 4-5 times per annum (typically < 1 hour, by Zoom). Additional follow-up and/or between meeting communication may occur, by email.

Remuneration: This is an unpaid role.

Person Specification:

Essential:

·       Proven track record in business strategy with IT expertise.

Desirable:

·       Experience with financial management and Directorship in other organisations would be advantageous.
