HR Sub-Committee Member
In Citywise, all sub-committees contain at least one member of the board of Citywise Education, who will act as Chair and will make all recommendations to the board for ratification. The remaining membership may be made up of additional board members or external members. We are seeking someone with HR skills and expertise to support the work of our organisation.
The HR sub-committee meets quarterly, but may meet more frequently from time to time to respond to issues. Hybrid meetings are possible.
The committee has a number of responsibilities.

Complete annual review of CEO performance, reporting any major concerns found to the chairperson of the board.

Complete annual review of management practices in Citywise.

Support the recruitment of new staff.

Review all HR related policies.

Deal with grievances and complaints in a timely and professional manner, in line with Citywise Staff Handbook.

Approve any long periods of leave required by the CEO (more than 2 weeks)

Conduct exit interviews with paid employees

Work with the Finance and Risk Sub-committee for the reviewing of maternity, paternity and parental leave applications.

Support the board and CEO with any HR policies or issues.
