Hearth and Mind Board Member/Trustee with Housing Experience

We are seeking committed and enthusiastic individuals to join our Board of Directors / Trustees. As a board member, you will help shape the strategic direction of Hearth and Mind, ensure good governance, and contribute to the delivery of our mission. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals while gaining valuable experience in the voluntary housing and mental health sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Attend and actively participate in board meetings (typically 4–6 per year)
• Contribute to strategic planning, decision-making, and policy development
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (including governance codes for AHBs and charities)
• Provide oversight on financial management, risk, and performance
• Act as an ambassador for Hearth and Mind, promoting its work and values
