Fundraising & Events (Board Member)
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on individual to join our Board with a focus on planning and delivering fundraising events, supporting our mission of empowering adults with intellectual disabilities into meaningful, supported paid employment.
Through our Rising Together training programmes, we equip participants with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to thrive in today’s workplace.
As a Board Member with a focus on fundraising and events, you will play a key role in helping us generate income through well-organised, engaging fundraising activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life and can support the planning, coordination, and delivery of events.
This is a voluntary role and a great opportunity to make a real and lasting impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and organising fundraising events (e.g. community events, corporate events, campaigns)
- Supporting the setup, coordination, and delivery of events
- Helping to identify new and creative fundraising opportunities
- Engaging with sponsors, partners, and supporters
- Working with the team to promote events and maximise participation
- Contributing to the overall strategy and governance of the organisation
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in event management, fundraising, marketing, or community engagement.
