Finance, Audit & Risk Committee Member
Hygiene Hub are seeking an experienced finance professional to volunteer as a member of our Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Sit on the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
- Review management accounts, budgets, cash flow and financial performance.
- Support the annual budgeting process and oversee the external audit.
- Monitor financial risks, internal controls and financial policies.
- Advise on financial sustainability, reserves and long term financial planning.
- Make recommendations to the Board through the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- A recognised accounting qualification or significant senior financial management experience.
- Experience working or volunteering within the charity or social enterprise sector.
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, audit or risk management.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate financial information clearly.
- An understanding of governance and financial oversight.
- A commitment to supporting the work and values of Hygiene Hub.
Time Commitment
Approximately 3 to 5 hours per month, including:
- Attending approximately 8 Finance, Audit and Risk Committee meetings each year, usually in person in Dublin.
- Reviewing meeting papers in advance.
- Providing occasional advice between meetings, particularly during budgeting and audit periods.
