Experienced Board Director
The Organisation:
The Mater Hospital Foundation (MHF) is based in Dublin and fundraises continuously to transform and improve patient care at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital.
The Mater Hospital Foundation exists to raise funds to make up the shortfall in healthcare funding. Because where there is a shortfall in funding, healthcare falls short. As the official fundraising body of the hospital, we exist to provide funding for state-of-the-art equipment, helping to provide the best care for all who need it. We enhance hospital facilities to create a comfortable and caring environment for patients and their families. We also fund pioneering research and clinical trials, and we continuously invest in our healthcare workers, providing vital grants to support specialist staff.
The Mater Hospital Foundation is autonomous of the Mater Hospital and is governed in our work by a voluntary Board of Directors made up of medical, legal, and business experts who ensure that our activities are consistent with our ambition and purpose. None of the Board Directors receive fees for their time or contribution to the Mater Hospital Foundation.
The Role:
The Mater Hospital Foundation is seeking an Executive Director who can advise on strategic direction while understanding the constraints of operating with a limited budget and a small team. Applications are sought from candidates who possess skills and experiences in the areas of Human Resources, strategy and change management or fundraising.
The Mater Hospital Foundation Board of Directors provide an independent perspective to enhance decision-making, by adding value to strategy and strategic development. Board Directors should be committed to strong governance, focusing on transparency and impact.
