Donegal Travellers Project - Board Members (HR, Finance, Law, Human Rights)

Tasks:

The Board of Donegal Travellers Project are now seeking applications for their Board from volunteers with experience of one/all of the following areas HR, Finance, Law or Human Rights.

We have established subgroups to support the work of Board of Directors and manager and are seeking interested individuals to participate in our project which is focused on supporting the Traveller and Roma Communities in Donegal.

 

About Us

Established in 1996, Donegal Travellers Project is an independent, locally based community development organisation working for and with the Traveller Community in Donegal. Since then, the project has supported Travellers to articulate their identity, to organise collectively and to work towards the realisation of their rights. Today Donegal Travellers Project has a staff team of over 25 working in a range of areas.

 

What's Required

Commitment Time - The board meets c.11 times per year, with one meeting monthly and it would expect that a board member would attend these meeting and participate. There are follow up information emails that board members are asked for input on.

Level of English Required

Intermediate English

Minimum time commitment: 1 year
Hours required: 2 hours monthly
