Director/Trustee
A director or trustee of the Femmy O Foundation is responsible for ensuring strong governance, legal compliance, and that the organisation delivers on its mission to empower entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds, support cancer awareness, and share knowledge, while always acting in its best interests and with appropriate care, skill, and integrity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Complying with the Femmy O Foundation’s constitution and governing documents
- Ensuring the Femmy O Foundation carries out its charitable purposes for the public benefit
- Acting in the best interests of the Femmy O Foundation and avoiding conflicts of interest
- Exercising reasonable care, skill, and diligence in decision-making
- Overseeing strategy, performance, and risk management
- Safeguarding and properly managing the assets of the Femmy O Foundation
- Making appropriate and prudent investment decisions
- Ensuring the Femmy O Foundation is properly registered with relevant authorities (e.g. CRO and Revenue)
- Maintaining proper books of account and accurate financial records
- Preparing and submitting financial statements and annual reports as required
- Complying with directions issued by regulators
- Reporting any reasonable concerns about fraud, theft, or financial irregularities
Person specification:
We are seeking a trustee who brings expertise in at least one of the following areas: healthcare, IT, auditing/policy, legal, or accountancy, and who is committed to supporting the mission and values of the Femmy O Foundation.
