Join Ranelagh Arts as Company Secretary
Ranelagh Arts is a dynamic community arts organization dedicated to promoting creativity and cultural engagement in Dublin. We run a diverse programme of exhibitions, festivals, and workshops that support local artists and make the arts accessible to all.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Company Secretary to join our Board and ensure that our governance practices remain strong and compliant.
The Role
As Company Secretary, you will play a key role in supporting good governance and compliance. You will work closely with the Chair and Board to ensure meetings are well-organized, records are accurate, and statutory obligations are met.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure the organization complies with all legal and regulatory requirements under the Companies Act and Charities Regulator

Maintain statutory registers and accurate governance records

Prepare and submit annual returns and filings to the Companies Registration Office (CRO) and Charities Regulator

Support the Chair in preparing board agendas, minutes, and meeting documentation

Advise the Board on governance best practices and obligations
Skills & Experience

Knowledge of company law, charity governance, and regulatory compliance in Ireland

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to maintain accurate records and manage deadlines

Experience in a Company Secretary role (or willingness to upskill)

Passion for the arts and community development is an advantage
Commitment
The Board meets monthly, with additional input required for filings and governance tasks. This is a voluntary role with an estimated time commitment of 4 hours per month.
