The Organisation:
Droichead Family Resource Centre is committed to enhancing the quality of life for families and individuals in the Callan area and surrounds through providing community based family supports and development opportunities based on identified needs.

Some of the services and supports we provide are:  Childcare and Afterschool's Service, Family Support Services, Low cost counselling and play therapy, Parent & Toddler Groups, Food & Baby Bank and a number of outsourced services including KASA and Cois Nore.  We run a number of funded programmes which include, Digital Literacy Skills, Healthy Food Made Easy, Financial Literacy and Well Being for Older Persons yearly.

The Role:
Droichead FRC is seeking to recruit a trustee with a background in Community Development.
The Board are particularly interested in individuals with recent and relevant experience in and/or knowledge of Legal, Financial and Human Resources

By being a trustee of Droichead FRC, your responsibilities will include the following:

•    Providing input to the strategic direction of the organisation and contributing with insight, oversight, and experience at board meetings and any additional commitments
•    Policy development and implementation as required

Essential/Desired Skills/Qualities required for these roles:

•    Knowledge of the Not-For-Profit sector
•    An understanding of and commitment to our mission and values
•    Commitment to highest levels of corporate governance 

Board Meetings:

There will be 12 board meetings and a number of sub-committee meetings a year, based on need.  Meetings are held in Droichead FRC, West Street, Callan, Co Kilkenny.
