INYB call for Charity Trustees with Finance Expertise – June 2025
The Organisation:
Irish National Youth Ballet is an Arts Council supported company which provides expert additional training and crucial performance experience to the best young dancers in Ireland. The work that INYB does is additional to the ballet training that the dancers get from their local ballet class.
The Role (Voluntary):
As INYB continues to develop, we are seeking new trustees to join our board to ensure we have robust processes in place and the skills to fulfil our strategic goals. We would love to hear to candidates that have a keen interest in the arts or youth.
INYB are seeking an individual with proven knowledge in financial management or accountancy.
- Finance, Accounting, and/or Audit background
- Qualified accountant

If you have demonstrated experience in this area and want to play a key role in leading, enabling and developing a unique performing arts facility we are keen to hear from you.
Responsibilities will include the following.
- The candidate must be a qualified Accountant, ACCA or CIMA qualified, ideally with at least 5 years experience
- To have a deep insight into all Financial policies and controls and propose any recommendations for change.
- Liaise with the Artistic Director and Company Admin to review and prepare the annual budget and monthly accounts
- To have oversight of compliance and risk management in the organisation.
- Have an overview of the finances to advise the Board on financial implications of proposals, cash flow problems etc.
- Oversight of compliance and risk management in line with usual board responsibilities
Board Meetings:
There will be approximately 10 board meetings a year.
Meetings are currently held online via Zoom, on a Wednesday evening for approximately 1.5 hours.
