We are a growing, values-led organisation dedicated to supporting and empowering people with intellectual disabilities to live full, meaningful lives within their communities. Through person-centred services and strong partnerships, we strive to promote inclusion, independence and respect for every individual we support. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking passionate and committed individuals to help guide our future direction.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking to appoint up to three new Board Members to join our committed and dynamic Board. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your skills, insight and leadership to an organisation making a real difference.

We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Governance
  • Finance Management
  • Human Resources
  • ICT and Project Management
  • Quality & Regulatory Compliance
  • Social Care / Psychology / Behavioural Science
  • Internal Audit
  • Facilities Management
  • Funding, Grants & Fundraising

In addition, one of the appointed Board Members will take on the role of Company Secretary, supporting strong governance, compliance and Board effectiveness.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking individuals who:

  • Have a genuine passion for promoting inclusion and enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities
  • Bring strategic thinking, sound judgement and a collaborative approach
  • Have an understanding of the voluntary / not-for-profit sector (desirable)
  • Are committed to high standards of governance and organisational oversight

Time Commitment

Board members are expected to actively engage in the work of the organisation, including:

  • Approximately 6 Board meetings per year
  • Participation in sub-committees (additional meetings may apply)
  • Meetings are typically held in the evening (6:00pm – 9:00pm)
  • A preference for in-person attendance, where possible

All Board members will also participate in a comprehensive induction and ongoing training programmes.
