Board Members

Are you based in Cork or Kerry and looking to give back at a strategic level? South Munster Money Advice and Budgeting Service (SM MABS), is one of eight regional MABS companies and covers the counties of Cork & Kerry.

SM MABS are currently seeking Directors for their voluntary Board with expertise in Finance/accounting, Legal and Human Resources.

The Board is committed to maintaining a diverse and balanced composition and welcomes applications from individuals of all backgrounds. As part of this commitment, we particularly encourage applications from women, who are currently underrepresented on the Board.

All applicants will be assessed fairly against the role criteria. In the event of candidates being equally matched, the Board may refer to its internal appointment policies. The selection decision will always be based on merit, with the most suitable candidate appointed

Board meetings are held on a Hybrid basis and Board members can attend in person at the Cork MABS office or online. There will be approximately 8 meetings per annum, plus attendance at sub-committee meetings, as required. Together with preparatory reading for meetings and follow up activities and information analysis, the total commitment could be up to 6 hours per month.
