Board Member – Social Care
We are a large, diverse social care organisation with over 500 staff that supports thousands of people each year across Dublin and the surrounding areas. Our work spans homelessness and housing, youth and community services, food poverty, residential care, counselling and specialist information and advocacy and support for migrants, refugees and Irish emigrants. At the heart of all our services is a commitment to supporting people at difficult points in their lives and helping them achieve greater stability, independence and opportunity.
Crosscare is seeking an experienced social care professional to join our Board and contribute to the strategic direction, governance and continued development of our services.
The Social Care Board Member will bring senior-level knowledge and experience of delivering services to people experiencing disadvantage, vulnerability or social exclusion. - A strong understanding of person-centred and outcomes-focused services.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, quality standards, regulation and risk within social care.
- An understanding of the relationship between frontline services, public policy and statutory funding would be an advantage.
- The ability to consider issues strategically while retaining a strong understanding of the realities of frontline service delivery.
Previous Board experience is welcome but is not essential.
