Board Member with Governance/Legal expertise.

Minding Creative Minds is a non-profit organisation which offers a free 24/7 wellbeing & support programme to the Irish creative sector. This community is expansive and diverse, and we are dedicated to providing a varied and dynamic range of supports to ensure that this vital community is catered for.  We value diverse voices and experiences that reflect the communities we serve, and we particularly welcome applications from demographics that may not be currently represented on our board.

Minding Creative Minds has grown significantly since its launch 5 years ago. The organisation is seeking to expand its Board of Directors. We are seeking candidates committed to supporting members of the Irish creative sector.    The candidate would preferably have professional experience and an interest in the fields of governance and law, to help the organisation continue to grow. As well as being able to demonstrate an interest and commitment to the creative/arts sector.

Ideal candidates will be current or former professionals with governance experience, particularly with knowledge of the Irish not-for-profit sector. Willing to commit up to 6 hours per month to the board and offer your expertise and support in the following areas. The majority of meetings take place online, so we are very open to hearing from candidates from around the country. 

• Compliance with the Regulator's Governance Code. 
• Knowledge & understanding of the CLG/not-for-profit/charity sector. 
• Knowledge and understanding in matters relating to company and employment law. 
• Experience developing effective risk management strategies would be an advantage.
