Board Member with Governance Expertise
Wildlife Rehabilitation Ireland is seeking a new Board member with strong governance experience to help strengthen the organisation as it enters its next phase of development, including the Wildlife Teaching Hospital project.
We are looking for someone who can contribute at Board level and, where appropriate, also contribute to WRI’s active Strategy Group, which is working on governance, finance, planning, and project development. This would suit someone interested in helping strengthen the organisation’s governance, structure, legal readiness, and overall preparedness at an important stage of development.
Experience in the following areas would be particularly valuable:
- charity and company governance
- Board development and governance strengthening
- organisational structure and accountability
- legal input relevant to structure, compliance, and risk
- policy, oversight, and decision-making frameworks
- governance planning linked to project development and growth
We would particularly welcome someone who brings sound judgement, relevant governance experience, and the ability to contribute constructively as part of both a Board and a working project group. Experience in the charity, nonprofit, environmental, wildlife, or public-interest sector would be welcome, though it is not essential.
