Board Member with Finance Experience

Key Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Comply with the organisation’s governing document
  • Committing to the highest levels of corporate governance
  • Providing input to the strategic direction of the organisation
  • Advise on financial sustainability, reserves and long term financial planning.
  • Attend occasional events, training and seminars

 About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A recognised accounting qualification or significant senior financial management experience.
  • Experience working or volunteering within the charity or social enterprise sector. 
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, audit or risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate financial information clearly.
  • An understanding of governance and financial oversight.
  • A commitment to supporting the work and values of Roscommon LEADER Partnership.

Time Commitment

  • Attending approximately 5 meetings each year, usually online in the evening time after 7pm.
  • Reviewing meeting papers in advance.
  • Providing occasional advice between meetings, particularly during budgeting and audit periods.
