Board Member with Communications Expertise
Wildlife Rehabilitation Ireland is seeking a new Board member with strong experience in strategic communications, media, and public-facing work to help strengthen the organisation as it enters its next phase of development, including the proposed Wildlife Teaching Hospital project.
We are looking for someone who can contribute at Board level and, where appropriate, also contribute to WRI’s active Strategy Group, which is working on governance, finance, planning, and project development. This would suit someone interested in helping shape the organisation’s public-facing positioning at an important stage of development.
Experience in the following areas would be particularly valuable:
- communications strategy
- public-facing positioning and profile
- media handling and media relations
- spokesperson capacity
- communications planning around key moments
- stakeholder confidence and external presentation
We would particularly welcome someone who brings sound judgement, strong communication instincts, and the ability to contribute constructively as part of both a Board and a working project group. Experience in the charity, nonprofit, environmental, wildlife, or public-interest sector would be welcome, though it is not essential.
