The Organisation

Renmore Gymnastics Club (RGC) is a not-for-profit, community organisation based in Galway. We are committed to making gymnastics accessible to all and to supporting participation, inclusion and community through high-quality gymnastics experiences at every level.

General duties

• Act in the best interests of RGC and not for personal gain
• Help protect and promote the club's reputation, integrity and sustainability
• Contribute to good governance, strategic oversight and effective decision-making

The Role

RGC is seeking a Board Member to join its volunteer Board of Directors. This role will contribute to the strategic direction and oversight of the club, helping ensure that RGC continues to deliver on its mission in a sustainable, well-governed and community-focused way.

Responsibilities will include

• Contributing to board discussions, decisions and strategic planning
• Providing oversight on club matters in the best interests of RGC
• Supporting the Board in maintaining strong governance, policies and standards
• Taking part in board meetings and carrying out agreed follow-up actions
• Contributing experience, judgement and constructive challenge across matters affecting the club
• Helping maintain the positive image, integrity and reputation of RGC at all times

Board meetings

Board meeting are once a month, in person or online, usually in the evening time. When in person they are at our facility in Briarhill, Galway
