Board Member

The Lough Credit Union are currently seeking to recruit voluntary board members to play a meaningful role in supporting the The Lough Credit Union’s mission and shaping its future direction.

Desired Skills and Experience: 

The Board welcomes candidates with a range of experience and skills. Our current Board includes members from diverse backgrounds and industries which we see as a great benefit to represent the diversity within our community and membership. We encourage people from all sectors to volunteer with us to share even more insight which will contribute to development. 

Desired Qualities:  

• An interest in supporting to the Credit Union ethos 

• An understanding of and commitment to our mission and values

• Commitment to supporting our role as a community entity 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Policy development and implementation as required 

• Contribute to discussion and participate in conversations during meetings

• Read and make notes on reports prior to monthly meetings

• Attending monthly meetings (in person or virtually)

Board Meetings: 

There will be a monthly board meeting. Meetings are held in our Bandon Road office with the option to attend meetings virtually if required.
