Board Member

Location: Ballinasloe, Co Galway Commitment: Part-time, voluntary Sector: Charity / Health & Social Care

EGM Cancer Centre is seeking a new Board Member to strengthen our governance and support our mission of providing high-quality services to people living with and beyond cancer.

We are particularly looking for someone with HR and/or legal expertise to help broaden our existing skillset and support the charity through best-practice governance and organisational development.

What You’ll Bring

· A collaborative mindset and commitment to our mission and values of integrity, transparency, and service

· Professional experience in Human Resources, employment law, governance, or related legal fields

· Ability to provide strategic guidance on policies, contracts, staff structures, and regulatory compliance

What You’ll Do

· Help ensure the charity continues to operate effectively and in line with regulatory expectations

· Attend board meetings (approx. 6–8 per year, usually held mid-week evenings) and participate in sub-committees as needed
