ADEEAR HUMAN RESOURCES & PEOPLE TRUSTEE
About ADEEAR-L (Accessibility by Default in Education and Economic Inclusion Advocacy Rights by Lukwago) is currently in the process of becoming formally established as a not-for-profit organisation in Ireland. As an emerging initiative with a broader European and international vision, ADEEAR-L is seeking founding/proposed Directors (Trustees), including a chairperson, to help establish its governance structure, guide its development and support the organisation in achieving its long-term mission.
ADEEAR-L is an advocacy, accessibility and inclusion initiative focused on advancing Sensory Accessibility by Default in education, employment, public services and wider society, while promoting economic inclusion, equality, human rights and meaningful participation.
ADEEAR-L seeks to shift responsibility for accessibility from the individual towards the design and delivery of accessible and inclusive systems and services, reducing unnecessary reliance on disclosure, discretionary support, mediated services and reactive accommodation.
ADEEAR-L HR will support the development of effective, fair and inclusive people-management and organisational practices. To provide expertise in people management, recruitment, volunteering, organisational culture and HR governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on HR policies, procedures and organisational people practices.
- Support appropriate induction and development of volunteer structures/process.
- Advise on recruitment and selection.
- Support positive organisational culture.
- Support development of appropriate roles and responsibilities.
- Contribute to workforce planning as ADEEAR-L develops
- Promote equality, inclusion, dignity and respect.
- Support appropriate approaches to performance, conduct and development.
- Consider workforce-related risks and provide advice.
- Help develop accessible, positive and inclusive organisational culture.
- Support appropriate HR governance and accountability.

- Experience in human resources, people management, employment relations or a related field.
- Understanding of good HR governance and employment practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential matters appropriately.
