Not-For-Profit Information

The Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig is a residential workplace for artists from all parts of Ireland and from overseas.  It provides facilities, support, peace, and quiet enabling up to eighteen artists at any one time to do their work in welcoming, home-like, and trusted surroundings.  Annaghmakerrig belongs to Ireland; its funding comes in the main from the two Arts Councils in the Republic and Northern Ireland, and from residential fees; and the house and grounds are maintained by the Office of Public Works.  As a visionary and unique cross-border cultural undertaking, the Centre has been serving the creative community for almost four decades and nourishing our cultural life through the wealth and variety of art produced here.  The TGC looks forward to securing the ways and means to sustain its work and strengthen its impact in the decades to come.
