Not-For-Profit Information

We are a community development association from the Liberties in Dublin which is committed on a voluntary basis to promoting the social, educational, cultural, economic and environmental development of our local community. Our mission is to create a community in the Liberties where all, particularly those most excluded, feel valued and welcomed.

Our main function, at the present time, is to organize a series of programmes (as set out under missions and programs above). Each programme has a different funding agency. We also have a small property portfolio which provides a small income.

Our main event each year is the Annual Liberties Festival, comprising cultural, entertainment, educational, sporting and family specific events.

Our family life-cycle model was developed to address key social challenges which the individual person faces and the supports available to them at each stage in the life cycle.

In this way the life cycle approach adopts the person as the centre piece of social development. The life cycle approach also offers the potential of a more streamlined outcomes focused approach in dealing with social issues at local level.

Our priorities include job supports, after schools programme, , engagement at local level, youth intervention, promotion of the arts and the promotion of social inclusion.
