St. Margaret's IRL-IASD CLG is a rights-based service, working in partnership with adults with disabilities to support, enable and empower them to live a life of their choosing in their own home at the heart of their family, friends and community.
Our vision is of a society where all people can fully exercise their rights as equal citizens and live a life of their own choosing.
Our mission is to support people who use our service making choices in their lives, developing valued roles and relationships and engaging in their community.
As a specialist and leader in Supported Self-directed Living (SSDL), St. Margaret’s develops services that are specific to the individual, and are flexible and responsive to their changing choice and needs throughout their life. Our work is grounded in our core values of partnership, rights, inclusion and accountability.
The supports we offer include working with people to move to a home of their own, whether transitioning from residential institutions, group homes/other services, shared family arrangements, or young people transitioning to adult services. We advocate for and support each individual to exercise their rights and access the services and supports that will enable and empower them to live a life of their choosing and fulfil their life goals.
As a not-for-profit limited company St. Margaret’s is funded by the HSE and works with other voluntary and statutory agencies, local authorities and approved housing bodies, supporting peoples’ rights and choice to access services, supports and housing in their community. As a registered charity, St. Margaret’s is governed by a Board of Directors which assures good corporate governance in all aspect of its business and service outcomes.
