AdVIC (Advocates for Victims of Homicide) is Ireland’s national charity supporting families who have lost a loved one through homicide. We provide compassionate, professional support to those navigating the profound trauma, grief, and challenges that follow such a loss.
Our mission is to ensure that families affected by homicide are not left to face their journey alone. We deliver vital emotional support, practical information, and advocacy, while working to raise awareness of the unique needs of homicide victims' families.
We are also committed to promoting a more balanced and compassionate Criminal Justice System by advocating for reforms that recognise and respect the rights, needs, and voices of families affected by homicide.
Our services include:
• Free one-to-one counselling for adults, children, and young people
• Peer support from others with lived experience of homicide bereavement
• Bereavement support groups
• Information and guidance on the Criminal Justice System through our website, publications, email, and telephone support
