Volunteer Board / Committee Members – Accounting and HR
Dublin South MABS (Money Advice and Budgeting Service) invites expressions of interest from individuals interested in joining its Board and/or its sub-committees. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with significant expertise in accounting and HR/workplace relations.
Who we are
The Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS) is a free, independent, confidential and non-judgmental money advice and budgeting service for all members of the public.
MABS primarily works with people who have problem debt. MABS advisers work with clients who may have difficulties with a wide range of personal debts, including personal loans, mortgages, credit card debt, buy now pay later (BNPL) debts, debts to licensed moneylenders, personal contract plan (PCP) debt, and hire purchase (HP) debt.
MABS is organised into eight regional companies, including Dublin South MABS which covers South Dublin with offices in Ballyfermot, Clondalkin, Crumlin, Dún Laoghaire, Dundrum, Lombard Street and Tallaght.
Opportunity
We are particularly interested in hearing from people with expertise in the following areas:
- Auditing and accounting: to assist with overseeing the finance function as a Board member and/or a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
- HR: with particular experience in workplace relations at a senior level, or as employment lawyers, to join the Board and/or the HR Committee.
These are voluntary, unpaid roles.
