Trustee with Property and/or Legal Experience

Action Community & Enterprise was founded by local volunteers in the Clondalkin area in 1995. Their initial purpose was to create a space for local enterprise, start ups and community groups at a heavily subsidised rate to give them a start. This quickly extended to 2 locations, Neilstown and Bawnogue, (both of which are identified areas of severe social and educational disadvantage) encompassing nearly 35,000ft2. Over the years, the products and services have evolved to respond to the local community and entrepreneur needs, from running Start Your Own Business courses, literacy courses, Local Employment Services to a fully accessible Media Suite, Shared Therapy Suites, Shared Kitchen, Hybrid Meeting rooms and an Audio Visual Training facility.

Currently Ace Enterprise Park is home to over 64 local start ups and Community Organisations, and we actively support over 234 jobs.  Alongside this, Ace is home to an additional 19 members that have joined our start up community.

Our vision is Ace at the centre of a thriving local community and business environment, and thriving national community enterprise sector, that is sustainable and inclusive and nurtures the ambition of all.

Our mission is to contribute to a thriving local community and business environment and reduce unemployment and disadvantage. We will achieve this through the provision and management of centres which will include enterprise and community facilities, and through demonstrating leadership within the national community enterprise sector.
