Trustee with HR, Business and Policy/ Research experience

Dara is a Section 39 charity based mainly in Celbridge Co. Kildare funded mainly by the H.S.E. Dara provides residential services and individualised day supports services to 60 adults with an intellectual disability. Dara also provides respite supports to over 70 adults and a new Workability Progamme-  Inclusive Pathways to Employment funded by Pobal.  Dara files audited financial accounts annually and is complaint with the Charity Regulations, H.S.E. requirements and H.I.Q.A. regulations.

Dara is seeking a new Director with experience in  HR, Business and or Policy and Research to join the Board of nine directors. Meetings are bi monthly and there are five sub committees of the Board including Governance and Nominations, Audit, Finance and Remuneration,  Policy, Quality, Safety and Risk and Inclusive.

Experience in the not for profit sector and knowledge of disability is desirable.
