Marketing Director


Over the past 24 months, our nonprofit has been working to establish new charitable entities.  Currently, we are present on three continents: Africa, Europe and America. We are structured in charitable organization in Ireland, in Canada and in Togo (West Africa).

In 2022, we interacted with forty volunteers among which ones we found supporters who contributed to put together fundamental building-blocks for our nonprofit organizations. We have improved our strategic plan and started to prototyping our pilot-project. To execute the strategic plan and provide targeted services throughout 2023 and 2024, THE YCDP is in need of Operational and Management funding.

In this perspective, we have created several profiles on some social media platforms  to promote the nonprofit but we are not thriving actually. We would like a support to develop a consistant community around our vision, mission and values.

Role Description:

THE YCDP Ireland is seeking a Director with a Marketing and Social Marketing background. If you have experience in one of these areas and want to play a role in helping us, we’re keen to hear from you.  This is a REMOTE position.

General duties of a Charity Director:

  • Comply with the Charity’s governing document
  • Ensuring charity is complying with its charitable purpose for the public benefit
  • Acting in the best interest of the charity
  • Act with Reasonable Care and Skill
  • Manage the assets of your charity

General Responsibilities of the Marketing Director will include the following:

Element 1: To oversee the development and implementation of a strategic marketing plan which advances:

  • the presence of the organisation on several marketing and communication channels,
  • the visibility of the organisation and builds a community around it and,
  • the engagement of all our audiences.

Element 2: Assist with the creation of a digital marketing and fundraising strategy that will allow the organisation to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences including the media and key influencers.

Element 3: Explore the opportunity to leverage e-commerce to enhance our brand visibility and audiences in collaboration with other teams.

Element 4: Put in place a Marketing Committee which members are clear about their work thanks to SMART action plans.

Element 5: Work in conjunction with the Board.

We will discuss together about the above elements during an introductory call to determine what is most relevant to implement.

Board Meetings:

The Board meets quarterly. The  Marketing Committee meetings will be agreed among its members. By default, meetings are held remotely.
