Independent Chair of Treatment and Recovery (T&R) Subgroup

Location: Canal Communities Areas: Bluebell, Rialto, Inchicore – Meetings Mostly Online every 6 weeks on Wednesday Morning 10.00am to 11.30am

Person Specification:

  1. Demonstrable experience in leading and facilitating meetings, ideally within the field of substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation.
  2. Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities related to drug and alcohol treatment and recovery.
  3. Ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including service providers, practitioners, and service users.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a supportive and inclusive environment within the subgroup.
  5. Commitment to upholding confidentiality and maintaining the integrity of individual members of the T&R
  6. Understanding of the principles of evidence-based practice and a commitment to ensuring that decisions are informed by empirical evidence.

Job Specification:

  1. Chairing regular meetings of the Treatment and Recovery Subgroup, ensuring that discussions are focused, inclusive, and productive.
  2. Facilitating the subgroup's work to align with the T&R annual work plan, and the CCLDATF Strategy.
  3. Providing leadership and guidance to ensure that the subgroup's decisions and recommendations are based on evidence-based practice and the identified needs of the community.
  4. Ensuring timely reports on the subgroup's activities and progress, including the submission of written quarterly/monthly reports to the CCLDATF

Members of the T&R subgroup fully appreciate this is a voluntary position, and will endeavour to support the Chair through induction and ongoing Information sharing
