Fundraising Lead – Sporting Pride (Volunteer Role)

Sporting Pride is a national organisation dedicated to increasing LGBTQ+ inclusion, visibility, and participation in sport across Ireland. As a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG), we work closely with sports organisations, community groups, national governing bodies and stakeholders to foster a welcoming environment for all.

Role Overview:

Sporting Pride is seeking a dedicated Fundraising Lead to join our committee and drive fundraising efforts that will support the organisation’s sustainability and growth. This is a voluntary role with a key focus on developing and executing fundraising strategies, securing sponsorships, and managing donor relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a fundraising strategy aligned with Sporting Pride’s goals.
• Identify and secure funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships.
• Lead fundraising campaigns, events, and donor engagement initiatives.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, including businesses, community groups, and funding bodies.
• Manage fundraising reporting and compliance requirements for the CLG.
• Work collaboratively with the committee to align fundraising with overall organisational priorities.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in fundraising, sponsorship, or business development (preferred but not essential).
• Strong networking and relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of grant application processes and fundraising best practices.
• Ability to develop creative fundraising initiatives and campaigns.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Passion for LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport.

Commitment & Expectations: This is a voluntary role, requiring approximately 4-6 hours per month, in addition to attending one monthly committee meeting (approximately 2 hours).
