We are seeking a Fundraising Director who is a visionary in the fundraising space. In this voluntary role, you will be part of the board of trustees of the charity whose role is to oversee and ensure the organisation's compliance with fundraising and governance standards. You will also collaborate with volunteers of KWR, our board, management team, and key stakeholders to ensure the organisation is consistently focused on raising vital funds for rescuing, rehabilitating and returning native Irish wildlife.Fundraising Director: Role & Expectations
Kildare Wildlife Rescue (KWR) is a registered charity organisation that aims to rescue and rehabilitate Irish wildlife and aid in Irish wildlife conservation efforts. KWR operates a large rehabilitation centre in Kildare and is supported by a wide network of volunteers mainly in the Leinster area.
The ideal candidate embraces the governance responsibilities of a board trustee and is an independent thinker, focused on fundraising excellence, with a wealth of fundraising experience. The Fundraising Director, while not working directly with animals, should also embrace the core values and standards of wildlife rehabilitation and animal welfare, and support the goals of KWR by working towards the organisation's financial stability.
This voluntary role is available with immediate effect and requires a commitment to the organisation of two years. Board meetings are held online via Zoom or in person for one - two hours every four weeks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Act as a strong advocate for fundraising opportunities.
2. Establishes and leads the Fundraising Committee and provides them with fundraising opportunities, such as grant lists, events or funding links, as they arise.
3. Attend and actively participate in board meetings and important related meetings when required.
