Finance Director Candidates will have at least 3 to 5 years financial management with day to day accountancy experience and ideally be working in the space of accountancy or auditing.
Experience on other Boards of management where financial governance was essential.
Knowledge and understanding of the requirements under the Charities Code for financial reporting and under the Governance Code for Charities.
This position is voluntary, unpaid, very rewarding and will involve a commitment of
approximately 15 days p.a. (inclusive of Board and sub-committee meetings,
performance reviews and external representation).
Meetings with the Board will be both in person and online. Location in Ireland is required.
The terms of office is 3 years with a second and third term (subject to Board
approval).
All reasonable expenses incurred during the fulfillment of duty will be reimbursed
in line with Active Disability Ireland’s Finance and Administration Policy.
