Expansion of Board of Directors Butler Community Centre CLG

BOARD OF DIRECTORS EXPANSION

Butler Community Centre CLG provides social and recreational opportunities for the community through the ownership, development and management of sports and recreation facilities in St John’s Park in Waterford City. The centre has been in operation since 1986. The centre is funded by the Community Services Programme which is administered by Pobal on behalf of the Department of Rural and Community Development. The centre has a great history as part of the Sacred Heart the Folly parish and receives great support and has an important role within the community.

Butler Community Centre CLG are looking to expand their Board of Directors and we are seeking those with the following skills to join our Board:

• Community development
• Marketing
• Legal and regulatory
• HR
• Finance
• Governance
• Charities sector experience
• Experience on charity Board of Directors

The commitment required is to attend a monthly Board meeting for 1.5 hours and participate in sub committees as required.
