Education Director

Education Director Candidates will have at least 3 to 5 years of working in or connected to the Education system in Ireland.

An understanding of the challenges faced across the primary, post primary and third level educations system for both people with disabilities and teachers.

Evidence of understanding of education programmes, policies and initiatives that could influence increased opportunities for participation

This position is voluntary, unpaid, very rewarding and will involve a commitment of
approximately 15 days p.a. (inclusive of Board and sub-committee meetings,
performance reviews and external representation).

Meetings with the Board will be both in person and online. 

Location in Ireland is required.

The terms of office is 3 years with a second and third term (subject to Board
approval).

All reasonable expenses incurred during the fulfillment of duty will be reimbursed
in line with Active Disability Ireland’s Finance and Administration Policy.
