Director with Legal &/or Community & Voluntary experience
Beam Services is a Section 39 organisation that provides Day, Respite & Residential services to Adults with an Intellectual Disability & Autism. We have been in existence since 2000. We are HSE funded. We support members from Carlow, Kilkenny & Wexford.
Beam Services are seeking an individual with a Legal background &/or Community & Voluntary experience, who will support us with legal & governance aspects of the organisation. We have a staff team of approximately 100 people, multiple day service areas & residential properties.
Responsibilites will include the following:
- The Director may act as Legal Counsel for the organisation, providing guidance & oversight on all legal aspects of the service to ensure best practise.
- Assist is the development of Strategic plans which comply with current legislation & practise.
- The Director will provide governance & oversight expertise, particularly in risk management & policy development.
- All the above responsibilities as well as the regular Board Director responsibilities
Time commitment required:
- The Quality & Safety Sub-committee meets on a bi-monthly basis.
- The Board meets every 6-8 weeks across the year. (6-8 mtgs)
- The overall committee is a combined maximum of 14 meetings per annum.
- As a Board we prefer to meet on a face-to-face basis. The meetings take place in Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow.
