Director - Board member with Risk Experience

Clanmil Housing Association Ireland CLG is an Approved Housing Body managing circa 500 social housing units throughout Leinster.  Our professional team is focussed on providing good quality homes to those who need them.

As one of the Board members with specific  knowledge and experience in the Risk domain you will have responsibility for:

1. Provide strategic guidance and oversight on risk management practices within the organization.

2. Assess and monitor potential risks that may impact the organization's operations and financial stability.

3. Collaborate with the executive team to develop risk management policies and procedures.

4. Participate in board meetings and decision-making processes. 

5. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk mitigation strategies and recommend improvements.

6. Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

7. Act as a liaison between the board of directors and the executive management team.

Qualifications: 1. Proven experience serving on boards or committees with a focus on risk management.

2. Strong understanding of risk assessment, mitigation, and monitoring techniques.

3. Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to risk management.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Time Commitment 

We have a minimum of 6 Board meetings per annum in addition each Board member is asked to sit on a board sub committee. There are a minimum of 4 sub committee meetings per year.
