About Involve CLG: Involve CLG is a leading provider of Youthwork Services for young Travellers throughout the country. Our mission is to support young people and communities through various programs and initiatives, aiming to empower individuals, promote community development, and address critical issues such as social inclusion, education, employment, mental health, and wellbeing. Our projects engage approximately 650 young people from the Traveller Community on a weekly basis.

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Board Member with a strong background in Community Development to join our board. The ideal candidate will bring expertise a commitment to advancing the mission of Involve CLG.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic support to the board and executive team.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and practices.
• Guide the board on best practices in terms of organisational development.
• Collaborate with other board members to drive the strategic direction of the organisation.
• Participate in board meetings and contribute to governance and oversight responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Experience within the area of Community Development
• Proven track record within the non-profit or community sector.
• Ability to think strategically and contribute to the long-term goals of the organisation.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Involve CLG.

Desirable Attributes:

• Previous board experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of youth work and community services.
• Strong advocacy skills and experience engaging with external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated commitment to social inclusion, diversity, and equality.
