About Sunflower Recycling

Sunflower Recycling is committed to sustainable community development and is currently in the process of attaining charity status from the Charity Regulator, which we expect to achieve within the next two months. Our board comprises nine members with diverse backgrounds, working together to provide strategic direction and robust oversight for our operations and management team.

Your Role

As a Governance Board Member, you will play a key part in ensuring our compliance with CRO and Charity Regulator requirements. You will help shape our strategic direction, uphold best practices in governance, and contribute to transparent, ethical decision-making. Your expertise will be vital in policy setting, monitoring organisational performance, and supporting management in achieving our mission.

Requirements

• Experience and/or qualifications in governance, ideally within the charity or social enterprise sector
• Knowledge of CRO and Charity Regulator responsibilities and compliance standards
• Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow board members and management
• Commitment to transparency, accountability, and community impact

Time Commitment

Board meetings are held monthly and can be attended online, offering flexibility and accessibility for all members.
