Company Secretary

The candidate would need to have in the role as Company Secretary

The ideal candidate should boast the following requirements
Time commitment of 4 - 6 hours per week (flexibility will be required as the role can be challenging at times)
Previous Company secretarial experience (at least 2 years experience)
Interest in mental health alongside promotion of suicide awareness
Knowledge of governance and compliance
General Admin/ Office Support experience
Children First Safeguarding
Garda Vetting is required for this role


Shine a Light is seeking to appoint a new Company Secretary to support our organisation. The duties of a Company secretary in a charity are set out in guidance from the Charities Regulator and include.

1. Preparing and organisation of meetings
2. Taking and distribution of minutes of meetings
3. Other meetings – AGMs and EGMs
4. Governance
5. Responsible for board and organisations correspondence
6. Administration and compliance
Please note this is a voluntary role.
