Louth Volunteer Centre has a central role in the local Community & Voluntary Sector, working closely with key stakeholders such as the local authority, Public Participation Network, LCDC, etc to promote access to and awareness of volunteering and volunteerism. We also work to improve the quality of volunteering by engaging with organisations who involve volunteers in their work.
Louth Volunteer Centre completed two significant pieces of work in 2021 - the publication of the first County Framework in Ireland; and the publication of our own strategic plan.
Our voluntary board of directors guide the strategic direction of the organisation and have oversight over governance and finance. We were seek to uphold best practice in these areas at all times and were shortlisted in 2020 & 2021 for a good governance award.
