About Turn2me.ie

Turn2me’s mission is: We provide accessible professional online mental health services to adults and young people over 12.

Turn2me provides round-the-clock free, anonymous and confidential professional mental health support online to everyone in Ireland aged 12+. Founded in 2009 by brothers Oisin and Diarmuid Scollard who lost their brother Cormac to suicide, they bring together innovative technology and clinical expertise to prevent mental health issues becoming mental health crises in order to change and save lives. With demand for services increased by 48% last year - the sitting Board now needs to expand and bring in more expertise to continue with this growth. Together we can help solve Ireland’s current mental health crisis by ensuring these much needed services remain free and immediately accessible to everyone in need.

 

Role Expectations

 

  1. Be a strong advocate for accessible mental health service across Ireland.
  2. Act as DPO (Data Protection Officer) for the Organisation.
  3. Enhance the data protection and GDPR requirements of the Organisation are fulfilled, audited and compliant.
  4. Regularly attend board meetings every six weeks.
  5. Collaborate on organisational strategy and support  the CEO in delivery of same.
  6. Commit to 2 years of service and sign up to Board Code of Conduct and understand roles and responsibilities associated with role of director
  7. Represent the Organisation well in all engagements, internally and externally
  8. Volunteer for and willingly accept assignments and complete them thoroughly and on time.
  9. Stay informed about internal and external developments, prepare well for meetings, actively engage in Board and committee meetings providing challenge and feedback .
  10. Gets to know other Board members and build a collegial working relationship that encourages diversity of thought, respects others viewpoints and contributes to healthy debate and decision making.
  11. Please note that this is a volunteer role.
