Board Member / Director with Financial and Fundraising Expertise

The Organisation

The Irish Association of Speech & Language Therapists (IASLT) is the recognised professional association of Speech & Language Therapists in Ireland. 

The Role

IASLT is currently seeking a Voluntary Board Member with financial expertise, who has a genuine interest in contributing to the vision of IASLT and wishes to assist in strengthening and further developing the organisation in achieving its vision.

We are seeking a candidate, who has proven knowledge of financial management or accountancy and experience of fund raising in the non-profit /charity sector.

Responsibilities will include the following:

· Membership of IASLT Board of Directors

· Membership of IASLT Finance Audit and Risk Committee

· Supporting and developing the fundraising and income generation strategy

· Oversight of Finance and Risk Management in conjunction with the Board of IASLT

Board Meetings are usually held via zoom at six weekly intervals and Finance, Audit and Risk Committee Meetings are also held on a regular basis.

It is important that the appointed candidate has the appropriate time to commit to this role.
